Biography

      Born in South Korea, violinist Yeseul Kim received her Doctorate in Violin Performance at the University of Kentucky, studying under Professor Daniel Mason. Previously, she earned her Master’s degree at Northwestern University Bienen School of Music studying under Professor Blair Milton. An artist of the world, Ms. Kim has performed regularly in North America, Asia, and Europe. 

      Equally at home in both orchestra and chamber music, Ms. Kim has performed with the Lexington Philharmonic, the Indianapolis Symphony, and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She has also performed as concertmaster in Prague in productions of Mozart’s Magic Flute and Don Giovanni in the Estate Theatre, the only remaining theatre that Mozart has personally performed in. She was a principal player with the UKSO and was frequently featured as concertmaster. With the Niles Quartet, Ms. Kim was invited to France to perform works by Arnold Bax and Shostakovich. 

      Ms. Kim comes from a musical family, one of her biggest influences were her father and grandfather, both of which are accomplished violinists. She is an active artist based in Goyang city, South Korea. She teaches both in person and online, and performs frequently as a soloist, an orchestra player, and a member of "Vito Quartet."
